This week on Faceoff with Chris, there are two people joining the table: Jason Kent and Pop-Pop. It’s a triple-threat show, discussing everything we need or want to know regarding the Phillies and the 2014 season that awaits us.
Chris plays mediator between Pop-Pop and Jason, as he asks 10 burning questions facing Ryne Sandberg and the Phillies’ club this year. Things get heated when the topic of Ryan Howard and his expected production is mentioned. Pop-Pop and Jason are on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to most things, which makes for great radio.
Chris talks about the importance of the AJ Burnett signing and decides to find a happy-medium with what GM Ruben Amaro may be trying to do with the Phillies moving forward after this season. Later, Jason and Pop-Pop turn up the volume on each other when Pop-Pop says that fans like Jason are one of the many problems that the Phillies organization has.
Lastly, the trio gives their early season predictions for the Phillies. What will it take to win 90 games? And who are their early picks to win the World Series? Chris throws in a surprise sleeper at the show’s end.
