The Chris & Pop-Pop Show: Guest TJ Brennan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Sporting News Names Ruben Amaro Jr. Worst GM in MLB

This week on The Chris & Pop-Pop Show:

TJ Brennan Interview: Chris interviews TJ Brennan, Moorestown, N.J.-native and NHL/AHL player of the Toronto Maple Leafs and their affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. Brennan discusses his current role and ride with the Marlies, who are currently battling for their chance at a Calder Cup. Brennan also discusses how different playoff hockey is compared to an entire regular season. Chris also asks Brennan how he stays level-headed when the NHL team doesn’t call him up for his services. How does he stay positive? Since Chris is celebrating his birthday in Toronto this November, he asks TJ about some of the city’s hot spots.

Phillies: The Phils were no-hit on Sunday by Josh Beckett, for the first time since 1978. On Memorial Day, the Phillies rallied, scoring nine runs, shutting out the Colorado Rockies. What’s next for the Phils? Is there any reason to have a positive outlook on this team, led by GM Ruben Amaro Jr.? If they were to have a “fire sale,” who could they honestly deal that, in return, would bring any sort of value? Finally, Amaro Jr. was named the worst GM in Major League Baseball by The Sporting News. Enough said…

The duo close with Eagles tidbits and news around the sports world.
