About this episode:
On this week of High and Tight, Chris and Jason kick the show off with a Week in Review segment since the Phillies wrapped up their first week of play in the 2015 season. Are fans surprised with the 3-5 start? Did they expect better or worse? Chris leads into how sad Cole Hamels’ story is with this current team. Hamels currently gets the second worst run support in all of Major League Baseball and it has already shown through his first two starts.
What happened to Chase Utley and Ryan Howard? The two catalysts of the 2008 World Series championship have become shadows of their former selves, and the fans are paying for it through their performance. With both players making a combined $40 million this season, what can the Phils do to rid themselves of the problem, if at all?
As for the Eagles, Jason breaks down the rumors surrounding the upcoming NFL Draft. Is Marcus Mariota going number one to Tampa Bay now? And where does Chip Kelly come in with all of this? Do the Titans plan on keeping number two overall, or are they looking to deal? Also, Chris and Jason discuss whether or not Sam Bradford can be THE guy for this offense, if Mariota isn’t an option.
Lastly, Chris and Jason talk about the prospect of Charlie Hustle finally being eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Why can’t fans differentiate between his suspension in MLB and the Hall of Fame? Chris explains the situation. Then, is fantasy sports considered gambling? The hosts of the show get into a debate that actually turns out pretty civil.
